He took in a deep breath. She started to soak in the emotions as she walked down the aisle towards her soon-to-be husband. The moment that they had been waiting for had finally arrived. Friends and family, who had traveled from all over the country, were on their feet and ready to witness Mike and Bailey make their lifelong commitment to one another. I’m SO thrilled to share their beautiful Black River Barn wedding with you today!
April showers brought all the beautiful May flowers for Mike and Bailey’s engagement session, but the looming threat of rain unexpectedly forced them to hold their wedding ceremony indoors at the gorgeous Black River Barn in South Haven. Let me tell you friends, it was absolutely precious! The teams from Black River Barn and Six Stems Wedding and Events did such a wonderful job planning and coordinating last second changes to accommodate for the weather. Zaffet Joseph Entertainment put on an incredible percussion performance and JellieFish Productions brought down the house with mind-blowing DJ skills at the reception. Mike and Bailey’s day was magical.
I always tell my incredible CK couples that their wedding experience is just as, if not more, important to me than their dreamy wedding images. While their images will stand the test of time, my goal is to always have that feeling of an incredible experience come rushing back every time my couples reflect on their wedding day. When my clients help me have an amazing experience, however, I’m often left speechless and saying to myself: “this is why I love my job.”
Mike and Bailey: I have three words.
Welcomed. Loved. Appreciated.
This is how you, your friends, and your family have made me feel the last two weeks. I cannot say enough just how wonderful and great this experience has been for me, serving you and your family during your most celebratory occasion. Thank You for trusting me and Thank You for making me feel like family.
You’re officially MARRIED! I hope the two of you have had the best time celebrating your marriage on Mackinac Island this week, and I sincerely hope that the two of you love your wedding images as much as I do! Here is a small glimpse of how I viewed your day, through my lens.
